Typical mistake

What's the common mistake that you've ever done?

New Links and a little joke

Okay, two new links to check out.

I particularly recommend doing some listening activities on esl lab.

As promised...  When is the word ´yolk´ a funny sentence?   When a Spanish person pronounces it.

Anybody get it...?

Did I st-st-st-stutter?

Watch this FCE speaking and write a comment.

How did they do?
Did you spot any mistakes?

Remember that they are being graded on their grammar and vocabulary, discourse management, pronunciation and interaction.

gradable/ungradable adjectives

You should have a look at this blog for some extra exercises on gradable/ungradable adjectives with a decent explanation.

For a start...

Okay everyone, welcome to the long-awaited blog.

First thing to check out is quizlet.  Go on the link and register for free.

Then search FCEGOLD to find vocabulary sets that I've made of some of the language that we've studied in class.

There are tests and games available, plus you can try to beat each others scores at 'scatter'.  I am the current champion of the world, although I haven't faced a challenger yet!

Why not créate your own sets and share them on this blog...
